The client requested a global Korean learning platform that leverages Hallyu content as engaging educational material. Instead of traditional, rigid language learning, the platform needed to teach Korean through cultural context—combining fun, relatable content with a structured curriculum to lower entry barriers and sustain motivation. The goal was to help learners acquire practical expressions they can use in real communication and cultural interactions.

In addition, the client strongly requested AI-powered personalized learning capabilities. This included an AI Tutor that can analyze pronunciation, grammar, and speaking performance in real time and deliver individualized feedback based on each learner’s level and weaknesses. Speech-recognition–based pronunciation correction was a key requirement due to the complexity of Korean sounds and intonation. The client also requested a basic speaking practice feature that helps learners build confidence gradually, along with an intelligent learning management approach that can monitor progress and recommend optimized learning paths according to individual patterns.

Beyond learning, the client wanted strong networking-centric SNS functions so global learners can connect and learn together. This required a follow system to build ongoing relationships, a way to share learning outcomes and receive peer feedback, and community spaces that can form by topic, level, or interests. The objective was to reduce isolation in self-study, continuously reinforce motivation, and enable cross-cultural communication centered on Korean language and culture.

Finally, the client emphasized long-term scalability and reliability. They requested a framework for frequent updates to reflect rapidly changing Hallyu trends, including a workflow to quickly add new content as K-pop releases or K-dramas launch. Because this is a global service, they also required a maintenance structure for fast incident response, bug fixes, and stable 24/7 availability. A feedback management system was requested to capture user input and reflect it in improvements, along with an architecture that can support future expansion such as multilingual support and region-specific experiences.

We completed the development of an AI-based Korean learning system, including AI Tutor capabilities that evaluate pronunciation, detect grammar issues in real time, and provide personalized feedback aligned to each learner’s level. A speech-recognition–based basic speaking practice feature was implemented so users can practice pronunciation and intonation with immediate correction. We also integrated scenario-based conversation content—covering daily life, business, and travel—to support practical learning that can be applied in real situations, enabling the platform to recommend more efficient learning paths based on individual weaknesses.

We applied a global user-friendly UI/UX design optimized for diverse cultural backgrounds. To reduce language barriers, the interface was designed with a strong visual foundation (icon-led patterns and clear navigation), allowing users to check learning progress at a glance, access personalized feedback easily, and explore content efficiently. Responsive layouts were implemented so mobile users can access the same quality learning experience as desktop users, reflecting global device usage patterns.

We built networking-centered community features to enable collaborative learning across countries. This included user profiles, follow/unfollow, and interaction functions such as posting, commenting, and likes. We also implemented peer feedback sharing so learners can exchange tips and encouragement. Topic-based community boards (e.g., grammar, pronunciation, conversation, culture) were developed to support deeper discussions and information exchange among users with shared interests.

To ensure stable operations and continuous evolution, we established a maintenance and expansion framework. This included regular patching, rapid issue resolution processes, and a content upload system for continuously supplying trend-based learning materials. Admin capabilities were improved to support efficient platform operations and user management, while infrastructure stability was strengthened for global service readiness. We also prepared a customization-friendly structure so the platform can respond quickly to changing client needs and market demands through ongoing feature extensions.
