ABOUT

This project involved building a new website for The Bridge, commissioned to communicate the organization’s mission and philosophy clearly and effectively.

The Bridge is an organization that works to create a world where people from developing and developed countries respect one another, embrace differences, and collaborate as equal partners. The organization discovers and supports people- and environment-centered social businesses, helping vulnerable communities both in Korea and abroad revitalize their local communities independently.

Rather than providing one-way support, The Bridge pursues a partnership philosophy based on mutual respect and cooperation. The client requested a structured website design that would communicate these core values and sustainable social business models in a clear and consistent way.

In addition, the project required an inclusive UI/UX design accessible to diverse user groups, as well as an intuitive admin system that enables non-technical staff to manage content easily. As a result, we delivered a user-friendly web platform that conveys The Bridge’s social mission with both emotional resonance and logical clarity.

Client Requirements

1️⃣ Website development to effectively communicate The Bridge’s mission and philosophy

A structured design was required to clearly communicate The Bridge’s core values—building horizontal partnerships between developing and developed countries—and its sustainable social business model. The partnership philosophy based on mutual respect and cooperation needed to be reflected consistently across the entire website, and a storytelling-driven content structure was required so visitors could intuitively understand The Bridge’s social value and sustainable development goals. A design language that visually expresses warmth, human-centered values, and credibility was also required, ensuring the mission is delivered with both emotional empathy and rational persuasiveness.

2️⃣ Improved accessibility and refined content structure for diverse user groups

An inclusive UI/UX overhaul was requested so users of varied ages, educational backgrounds, and technical proficiency levels could easily access The Bridge’s information. This included resolving the existing website’s complexity and lack of intuitiveness, and rebuilding the information architecture so users can quickly find what they need based on their goals and interests. Project content needed to be systematically categorized and presented in a visually engaging way, and the donation participation process required step-by-step guidance to reduce friction and lower participation barriers. The news section also needed to support regular updates while remaining structured so users can easily explore content by topic.

3️⃣ Non-technical-friendly content management system (CMS)

The Bridge requested an intuitive CMS that allows internal operators to manage and update website content without web development knowledge. Daily operations—such as posting project updates, publishing new announcements, uploading donor thank-you messages, and editing event details—needed to be completed without technical burden. The client also required media management features for easy upload and editing of on-site photos and videos, along with a WYSIWYG editor that supports real-time preview during text editing. The goal was to ensure ongoing activities and results could be reflected promptly on the website, enabling transparent and timely communication with donors and visitors.

Key Deliverables

💡 Website design completed to visually communicate brand philosophy

We delivered a website design that consistently reflects The Bridge’s people- and environment-centered brand identity through a warm color palette and friendly illustrations. Visual elements were carefully arranged so visitors can intuitively grasp the organization’s values of sustainable development and mutual collaboration. Instead of listing information mechanically, we built a storytelling-driven content structure that naturally encourages empathy and participation. The Bridge’s core approach—horizontal partnerships and community-driven methods—was integrated into the overall tone and visual expression to strengthen message consistency and credibility.

💡 Usability improved through full UI/UX redesign and content structure re-architecture

We rebuilt the information architecture so users can quickly and accurately navigate The Bridge’s various projects and participation options in a clear, structured way. The previously complex content flow was reorganized into a user-centered logical journey, significantly improving accessibility. Responsive web design was fully applied to ensure an optimized experience across all devices. As a result, mobile and tablet users can access the website with the same usability and clarity as desktop users, supported by UI elements optimized for different screen sizes and touch interactions.

💡 Operational efficiency secured through an intuitive CMS

We implemented a user-friendly CMS that enables internal administrators to manage and update donation-related information, ongoing project introductions, and critical announcements without technical expertise. The system was designed so admins can create new pages or edit existing content through an intuitive interface without complicated steps, and we provided a streamlined workflow for uploading and managing media assets such as photos and videos. With these CMS capabilities, The Bridge can reflect updates and outcomes promptly, improving transparency and enabling more active communication with donors.
