This project is a corporate website enhancement initiative conducted at the request of K-WON PS, an IT-finance payment solutions company founded in May 2015. The existing WordPress-based website was fully rebuilt into a lightweight HTML & JavaScript-based static website, and multilingual support was added as part of the renewal.
Reflecting K-WON PS’s business focus on electronic payment services and IT solution offerings, the work aimed to overcome the limitations of the legacy WordPress platform and transition to a more secure, stable, and high-performance web environment.
In addition, to support global expansion, the website was implemented with multilingual functionality in three languages, enabling both domestic and international customers to access service information more conveniently.
1️⃣ Security and Performance Improvements via Migrating from WordPress to a Static Website
To improve security and performance, the client requested a transition from a WordPress-based site to a static web structure. WordPress-driven dynamic websites often require continuous database interaction and rely heavily on plugins, increasing the risk of security vulnerabilities. They also tend to consume more server resources, leading to slower page loading speeds.
By rebuilding the site as a static website, the project aimed to fundamentally reduce risks such as hacking or malicious code injection while minimizing server load to achieve faster performance and greater stability. Reducing maintenance complexity and establishing a long-term reliable operational foundation was a key objective.
2️⃣ Implementation of Trilingual Support to Enable Global Business Expansion
The client requested multilingual functionality to provide full website content in three languages: Korean, English, and Japanese. To improve accessibility for global audiences, the project required not only complete translation but also localization that reflects cultural context and business norms in each region.
A seamless language-switching experience and a user-friendly multilingual UI were required, ensuring that users could switch languages while maintaining the context of the current page. Multilingual metadata and SEO considerations for each language were also included as part of the requirements.
3️⃣ UI/UX Redesign to Strengthen a Professional IT-Finance Payment Brand Image
To enhance brand credibility as an IT-finance payment specialist, the client requested a clean and professional UI/UX redesign. Given the nature of financial services, the interface needed to convey trust and stability while presenting complex service and technical information in an intuitive, easy-to-understand way.
A responsive design was required to ensure a consistent brand experience across both mobile and desktop environments, and the visual identity needed to communicate both innovation and professionalism through modern design elements.
💡 Full Rebuild into a Static Website to Improve Performance and Security
The WordPress-based structure was completely removed, and the website was rebuilt using a lightweight HTML, CSS, and JavaScript architecture. By eliminating database dependency and minimizing server resource usage, overall website performance was significantly improved. At the same time, security risks commonly associated with WordPress themes and plugins were fundamentally reduced.
This redesign delivered faster page loading, improved maintainability, and strengthened security—establishing a stable foundation for long-term operations.
💡 Trilingual Functionality Implementation to Establish a Global-Ready Web Platform
Multilingual support was successfully developed to provide full content in Korean, English, and Japanese. Complete translation and localization were applied for each language to ensure users could naturally navigate the site in their preferred language.
A language selection menu and page-level language switching were implemented to enable quick, intuitive transitions between languages. This significantly improved global accessibility and created a more familiar service experience for international audiences.
💡 UI/UX Redesign and Responsive Web Implementation to Strengthen Brand Trust
A full redesign was executed to align with the brand image and communicate K-WON PS’s professionalism and reliability more effectively. The UI/UX was improved with a user-centered approach to enhance clarity and usability.
A responsive layout was applied to ensure optimal viewing and interaction across mobile phones, tablets, and desktops—improving accessibility and providing a consistent experience across all devices.
