I recently received the Grand Prize at the '2025 Youth Unification Ideas Talk Talk.' To be honest, the topic of unification wasn't something that was familiar to me from the start. It was the same when I participated in the Unification Future Hackathon before, and when I decided to participate again after seeing the Ministry of Unification's promotion this time. However, as an IT technologist and as someone leading a company called DevFive, thinking about the essential power that technology possesses naturally connected me to this topic.

At this program held under the theme 'Talking About Unification in Incheon,' I spoke about a possibility we often overlook. South Korea has manufacturing competitiveness, and North Korea possesses considerable capabilities in security and system programming fields. What would happen if these two met? My thought was that rather than simple addition, a synergy could be created that would enable a leap forward as a new information technology powerhouse in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

In fact, whenever I talk about this, I receive many questions about practicality. Whether it's feasible right now, whether it's too idealistic. But I think that's what technology is all about. Technology is a medium that opens greater possibilities beyond disconnection. Because the essence of technology is connecting things that seem impossible and linking people who seemed unreachable.

This award is not so much my personal achievement as it is a result created together with my team members. It was more meaningful because it was an idea created through thinking together, discussing, and sometimes clashing with good people. This is exactly the point I consider most important in building DevFive. I want to create not a company where one CEO leads everything, but a company where each and every member simultaneously creates social value and technological innovation.

Going forward, DevFive will continue to believe in the possibilities that technology holds and to make those possibilities a reality. It may sometimes seem idealistic, and at times it may feel disconnected from reality, but nevertheless, we will keep moving forward. With the belief that technology is a medium that opens greater possibilities beyond disconnection.
